I'm doing an internet-wide poll in communities like this one, and I'd appreciate everybody's input...

Imagine that the President of the United States in the year 2040 is in college right now. Which university would he or she be attending? It doesn't matter if you're a Democrat or Republican, since they both some from the same schools anyway.

This generation of presidents and hopefuls (Bush Sr, Dubya, Kerry, Dean, etc.) all went to Yale, or Harvard. Where will the next line of presidents come from?

Just list a couple of schools that you think are capable of producing the next great world leader. No Ivy League please, since those are already obvious.

I wouldn't know that could be anyone's guess but I'll guess just for the fun of it:

New York University
Notre Dame
UC Berkeley
Boston College

I just have a feeling ;)

Contrary to popular belief, any school can produce someone who ends up being a leader. Politics is usually more about who you know than what you know, and you can make your business connections anywhere.

President 2040

I believe she will be a graduate of one of the state universities: UCLA, Illinois, Michigan. Yep, a large state university/college.

Central Florida Community College!

;)

Seriously though, it doesn't matter. The above poster was correct that it isn't what you know, its who you know, but even between Bush, Kerry and Dean, I doubt any of them got to where they are because of each other.

We've been electing college-edumacated guys for near 60 years and the world is (apparently) getting worse. Let's elect a few presidents who've never been to college and see how that works.

Just a suggestion.

Yeah, the question's kind of silly, but out of mindless school spirit the answer is still GO BEARS! :) In all seriousness, it'd be nice to see leaders coming out of more diverse, big state schools with at least a tenuous relationship to the real world as opposed to...well...Harvard.

And Berkeley is nowhere near as liberal as people think.
